Modern Maple Desk With Dynamic Steam Bent Curves

This exploration of Desk #2 revolves around the dynamic energy of the steam bent maple curves. They dance around the skirt of the desk with poetic movement. Their sweep is only interrupted by the occasional leg that pushes up above the desks surface. This moment is repeated once at the far corner of the desk as a means of pulling the viewer across the piece. The surface is pierced at a moment where two of the three drawers meet. This detail is unusual and it should serve to point the viewer to the drawers below. Each drawer opens in a slightly different direction making the experience of opening them part of the discovery of the piece. This desk is sure to be the focal point of any room that it is in.
